Everything flows, nothing remains still - Heraclitus (c. 535–475 BCE), ancient Greek Philosopher

About the Newsletter

In a world changing faster than ever, where politics, economics, and business collide in unpredictable ways, how do you cut through the chaos and find clarity? How do you understand not just what’s happening — but who’s shaping it, and why?

Welcome to Kevin Unscrambles — the newsletter delivering clear, actionable ideas and insight about change, transformation, and influence across politics, economics, and business.

Change is constant, shaped by powerful forces—both systemic and human-driven—that shape its direction, pace, and impact. Today, disruption is accelerating, powered by rapid shifts in policy, markets, and technology, leaving our world and workplace more scrambled than ever.

But behind every transformation is a structure of influence — formal and informal power shaping what happens next. From policy decisions to economic narratives to internal strategy meetings, understanding how influence flows is key to decoding change.

We have more access to information than at any point in history, but also more instability, uncertainty, noise, and systemic disruption. Political systems, economies, and businesses are in constant flux.

In a world of complexity, even well-intended decisions often have unintended side effects. The interplay between politics, economics, and business is reshaping societies, financial stability, and the workplace.

The challenge isn’t access to information, but making sense of the noise and complexity. Kevin Unscrambles breaks down the big shifts reshaping our world and workplace — and unscrambles how influence works in politics, economics, and business.

You can subscribe for free— every edition lands directly in your inbox — no noise, just insight.

About Kevin

So, here’s a little about me: I write and talk about how change, transformation, and influence move through politics, economics, and business—and what that means for teams, leaders, and workplaces. Knowledge is most powerful when it’s shared, and helping people become future-ready is my mission.

I’m a political economist trained in international relations, focused on how systems, power, and change intersect across public and private life—and how those forces shape business strategy, leadership, transformation, and long-term wealth creation.

I come at things from the politics-first side—grounded in international relations, geopolitics, and institutional systems thinking. I don’t take political sides; I focus on what works, what’s coming, and what’s most likely. That lens helps me look past economic headlines and partisan noise to uncover the deeper narratives and power structures behind change.

I’ve always been fascinated by how influence moves through politics, markets, organisations, and society. Not just the events, but the dynamics behind them: who drives change, who resists it, why certain narratives take hold, and where the opportunities lie.

My background bridges these domains. I completed my undergraduate and postgraduate training in International Relations at the University of London (LSE and Queen Mary), with a strong focus on geopolitics and political economy. My business training and experience are in the financial industry, where I’ve helped businesses transform and clients build and protect wealth over the long term. I’ve seen firsthand how political shifts, economic shocks, and market forces reshape business priorities, career paths, and financial outcomes.

I’m also in regular contact with professionals driving change inside businesses, and I use those insights to help unscramble complex organisational and strategic transformation.
